Ah yes, the hollywood glamour party our dear sharene managed to grab invites for. i rushed down like a mad chicken from work, carrying my big heavy bag of clothes to meet gillian so we could go down to sharene's office at Shangri La to change. i had ended work really late because my boss (he's french) did so many last minute trades, and we had a team of american investors from Goldman Sachs in the office so i couldn't do any work while they were around. Hence we were almost more than an hour late for the party. Anyway, the event was more of a media party, so there were alot of professionals from the media industry. chen hanwei, huang biren, were a few of the stars that were at the party last night. there were a whole lot of good looking men (and ladies of course), dressed up to the nines. but girls i'm telling you, i have never seen so many good lookin' well dressed men all gathered at one event. sharene aka ms "i-am-a-very-visual-person", must have felt like she was in heaven la. hahaha. i felt like i was in one of those cocktail parties from 'sex and the city'. there were heaps of oysters, prawns, lobsters, sashimi sushi, crab meat stuffed sushi blah blah.. all the things i don't eat! oh but the desserts were simply deeevine. there were tables on displayed with a variety of cakes, fruits, fondue, chocolate mousse cocktails decorated with ladybug chocolate pieces, etc etc. some of them even looked too pretty to be edible.

on a side note, i'm back to work once again! ok i'm too tired to talk about my job right now, so i'll just leave that for another post... or not. hahaa.

The weekend came and left like a gust of wind. on friday night, a group of us headed down to villa bali near alexandar road. i didn't manage to capture photos of the place because i left my camera in aaron's car (mel used her camera instead), but you HAVE to check this place out. Okay, despite the heat and mosquitoes, its a really nice place to chill out at night. the wooden decor, soft yellow lights, miniature water fountains together with the rustic charm of the place actually sets you in the mood. As the name suggest, you are to feel as though you are in bali. we got to sit in a little cosy wooden hut while the waitresses served us our food and drinks.

saturday was the day. why u ask? because i finally got my 14'inch macbook! Yippeee!!! and yes, as bimbo as it sounds, i got the white one to match the altec lansing speakers some of you guys got me. i've been wanting to get it for the longest time now. i took full advantage of the IT fair to sell the idea of 'getting their precious daughter a new laptop'. and with that, many thanks mummy&daddy. u've made me one happy lil' girl. hehhee. It was mum&dad's silver wedding anniversary on sat, 10/3. And to celebrate, my family headed out for dinner. great stuff.

hey fellow blog surfers, its me once again. i know, i'm really inconsistent with the whole blogging thing, and so here i am apologising again and again for the disappearing acts. anyway, back to the updates. Life's been pretty peachy since i ended my internship at EY. Since then, i've been bumming around the house, watching dvds, meeting up with friends, cooking for the family, playing with the dogs, etc etc.. well pretty much doing the things i couldn't do while i was working for the past 2.5 months.

i kinda miss working though! ironic huh, just a few weeks ago i was complaining about the long hours and how tired i was, and now when i've got so much time on my hands, i'm bored about being too free. i've been getting alot of 'when are you coming back to EY?'-type of questions from my manager and seniors, well.... i'm using this time off to really consider if i want to persue a career in the audit field for the next few years. yikes. its scary thinking about how fast we are all growing up, and how we've to start making such big career decisions! i'm starting to feel older and older everyday. i've also been spending a significant amount of time with my 2 dearest and closest friends for many years... gillian and sharene. they have been complaining that ever since i got back, they've been spending more money on shopping, taxi fares and are getting fatter from all the suppers and after dinner desserts i dragged them to. so much for the love eh. i just got word that sharene managed to get hold of tickets from her office, to an old hollywood glamour party next friday night at the Asian Civilizations Museum! Cool stuff girl. I'm just looking forward to the MAC door gifts! Can't wait!!!! *stamps feet in excitment*Just before Andrew left back for perth, he made a trip down to my place to visit...not me... but my dog, Bo! And although andrew was slobbered mercilessly by bo, that smelly slime ball of mine loved andrew!

With time on my hands, i've been occupying myself with trying to master the art of baking. I reckon that baking is harder to master than cooking a meal. Maybe its also because i am way more particular with cakes and desserts than i am with my meals. There are so many elements to consider in baking, such as getting the perfect temperature setting, the right texture, the amount of moisture, blah blah. I had the sudden urge to bake blueberry muffins one morning, and i did! My youngest brother liked it, but it wasn't soft and moist enough for me. So i'm going to try an attempt baking it for the second time round.
