Spring at Araluen

A few of us heading down to Araluen Botanical Park yesterday morning. It felt like a mini-road trip. Araluen is about an hour's drive from Perth city and has a huge display of tulips and all sorts of other beautiful flowers. They have flowers growing everywhere.. even in toliet bowls and shoes! We set off at about 10.50am after making sandwiches for our picnic. If it weren't for our new sandwich subway boy Josh, we wouldn't know what kind of sandwiches to make. From killer meat sandwiches of bacon, ham and cheese, to chicken&mayo (thanks to ernest and martyn) and of course not forgetting everyone's favourite seafood crabstick sandwich (not my favourite unfortunately). Okay credit goes to the guys for making the sandwiches..we girls just sat back and relaxed while they did most of the work. Of course Stace and I helped out with the glad wrapping! Haha.

Araluen wasn't as big as I expected it to be. Then again maybe that was because we didn't venture too far in. Even though I'm not the kind of girl who appreciates flowers, I still have to say that the flowers were beeeautiful. I felt I was in the garden of Eden. Okay I shall just let the pictures speak for themselves. Here are some shots for the time being, still waiting for Steph to upload her photos so I can get them from her.
