i just got up from my evening nap not too long ago and boy was it sheeeeook. it was the best nap i've had in months, all thanks to my new $7 pillow i got from Crazy Clarks this afternoon. For the benefit of my friends in singapore, no i didn't get it from a crazy man named clark, think $1.99 shop... just that not everything is priced at $1.99 lah. Anyhoos, $7 for a comfy firm pillow is pretty cheap here. I was suppose to just get a light bulb which i desperately for my bedside lamp. It blew a few weeks ago while i was reading a really interesting chapter of 'Capitvating', a book i'm soo absorbed in at the moment, other than my 'lecture notes'. Instead, i bought a pillow, so up till now... still no lightbulb. Anyhoos, its Operation Christmas Child once again, and a couple of us bought the lil' kids loads of cool toy, clothes, colouring books & funky stationary today. I've a problem fitting a disney colouring book i bought into my shoebox. Crap. So if anyone has a smaller colouring book, n you don't mind exchanging yours for the one i got, please let me know ya.
Ok then i better head off and get back to preparing for audit class tomorrow morning. school is starting to kill me! i'm really moody these days because of it.. its taking a toll even on how i relate to the people around me and even my outlook on life in general. sigh. toodles.

Thank you one and all for the lurve and concern you've graciously showered me with this past week. Yes i was feeling terrible, but because of all the care and loveeee i got from wonderful friends like yourself, i am now on the road to recovery. It has been a pretty hectic week... there were a couple of convocations to attend, raveen to entertain, oh and not to mention there was the FNL worship practice just the night before my applied financial mangement paper! i am tired.. pooped i tell you. i've been feeling so gloomy & glum all because i had great difficulty trying to cramp everything in that small lil' brain of mine. its just sooo hard to concentrate when you are sick, and the only thing u can possibly think of is lying in that warm comfy bed of yours especially after medication.
the afm paper didn't turn out as bad as i expected it to be. ... praise god! i'm just hoping i'll be able to do well enough. Anyhoos, i met up with veen and su after my paper this evening and found out that Veeen is extending his stay!! wooohooo!!

I am feeling horrible this morning!! I'm feeling feverish, i feel as though there's a razor sharp knife stuck down my throat, i feel like puking so badly each time i cough and my eyes are all watery and hot right now as i type this blog entry. i should be in bed resting but i feel worse lying down. The girls are all the way down south near Mandurah for the prayer event, and i'm stuck all alone at home feeling terrible. alright, i shall stop my whinning. I tend to whine alot more when i'm in discomfort lah. hahaaha.
Veen and i walked up to king's park yesterday morning just because he wanted to take nice photos. we later met SuAnn at Subi... for some shopping at the Salvation Army outlet looking for cheap vintage stuff. i managed to get a retro white sling bag for $4!! i am happy and a big fat cheapo as well. :)

The younger brother has finally arrived..and just left this afternoon! He touched down last friday with his friend terry, whom is also from our home church back in spore. i haven't exactly been bringing them around alot because i was busy mugging for my tsm mid term paper on monday. So, they were travelling around pretty much by themselves and meeting up with a couple of their own friends. Thank goodness there was petrina who took time off from her school work to bring them around. Thanks girl, really appreciate it. It just seems so surreal to see how fast my younger brother has grown up, especially now that he is in the army.
Veen is here tooo! I couldn't blog about him coming because it was suppose to be top secret!! he only told me a week before he was flying over and made me promise not to tell anyone because he wanted to surprise both petrina and suann. (wah thanks alot veen for not including me in the surprise as well lor!)

a ball of a time.
Its the mid-semester school break and about 20 of us travelled to Swan Valley on tuesday for a day of Paintballing fun fun fun!! This officially ranks no.1 out of the very miserable few highlights of mine this year. This is as exciting as it gets for me okay, so for all you people out there who have bungee jumped down great ravines or climbed the Andes Mountains in South America... please don't you spoil my thunder. Nevertheless, i left the place with wonderful memories of the awesome time i had, along with 4 black bruises to prove it.

In the midst of the mid term assignments and exams, the 3 north zone cells came together in a collaborated attempt for a night of games, worship and of course... study of the word. it was grrrreat! And to think i've been so boggled down from the studying for my mid term papers, plus i'm still mopping over the loss of er...many many marks... all because i couldn't finish my stewpig auditing paper. 15mcqs and 3essays in 1hr15mins!! thats just plain madness.. almost everyone i know couldn't finish it. we are all roast pigs. Anyhoos, back to cell, haha..as i said it was wonderful. the 30 of us played wacko, ching-chong chinese style. boy was that hard! i was the monkey running around in circles at one point all because mitchell accidentally hit my mouth even before i could shout someone's name. ouch. but you must admit it was pretty funny.. and conveniently clever of him. Ok nuff' said, here are the photos taken during refreshments time of the lovely and spontaneous fellowship we shared.

As you can probably tell, i was the photographer for the evening, and i had my big nose pretty much in everyone's business & faces especially when they were busy eating. don't you just hate it when someone pokes a camera into your face whike you are enjoying your food?! well i do... but not when i'm the one taking the photo.Righteoo, i've got a lecture to run off too now.
Tata.

When Simon first showed me this video, i thought it was a home made video by 4 fully grown computer geeks with nothing better to do. i mean.. come on, dancing on treadmills? But you must hand it to them, the dance steps were very well syncronized. i would have pictured myself rolling off the threadmills within 5 seconds into the song. Anyway, as i was music surfing on itunes today, guess what? I found these 4 computer geeks under the rock/alternative genre, and they actually have 3 albums! Their band? OK Go. They are from Chicago and together with off-kilter guitars and straightforward power pop sensibilities, produce eccentric yet catchy songs. Just check out the 2 videos, i'll dare say they beat Shakira's sexy & sensuous moves anytime. Wahaha. Its not everyday you come across a goofy dancing rocker group in neat straight jackets.
